SilverRock - La Quinta, CA

Damn - here is where I should have played when in Palm Springs last week.

SilverRock is a brand new, Arnold Palmer design, 7553 yard course right at the North-West corner of the PGA West property. It looks like it will be awesome, complete with hotel, spa, etc.

Looks like prices are reasonable for now. Online tee-time booking showed $75 for a summer round.

Killer Flash-based site, hole-by-hole drawings and images, etc.

Hopefully I'll talk Jamie into going there sometime next summer? :)

Played SilverRock this weekend with Amor, Brett, etc. First off, huge thanks to Amor for this freebie! SilverRock was very difficult. It was quite windy when we played, adding to the already tough layout. Pretty typical desert layout with native areas all over. Back 9 was especially hard, or maybe we were just getting tired from the heat. Car thermometer said 113° when we finished.
